This morning wrestling fans around the world are waking up to the tragic news of the death of a former champion. Joanie Laurer, best known as Chyna, was found dead this morning. She was 46.
Upon hearing the tragic news WWE Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon tweeted the following
Chyna, also known as “The Ninth Wonder of the World” was a ground breaking athlete. She was a founding member of the greatest faction of all time, Degeneration-X. She was the first and only female Intercontinental Champion and was the first female to compete in the prestigious Royal Rumble match. She was also the only undefeated Women’s Champion in WWE history, having to surrender the belt following injury.
Past and current wrestlers have take to social media to express their feelings

Chyna has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. There are many rumors as to why this has this the case. Despite those rumors, I am sure WWE will be inducting Chyna into the 2017 class of the Hall of Fame.
Her death is under investigation, however according to police in Redondo Beach, California, there were no signs of foul play.
